I just can’t tell you how much I loved this in my hair.
I got this idea from some where off pintrest, I saved
it on my phone so I have no idea who I got it off of, so if this belongs to
you- let me know so I can attach the link.
I have always had blonde hair and no matter what
color I change it to the blonde always wins so when I saw the above picture I
got really happy. I can have my blonde and a color, but not just any old color,
a bold color. A deep purple called Lie Locks I didn’t have to talk myself into the color or even doing this to
my hair.
I went to Sallies Beauty Supply and bought me a bottle of manic panic, a hair dye brush and a hair dye bowl. Because this was summer vacation (2012) and we are now in winter I can’t remember how much all that was but I want to
say it was around $30.00. I had a good guy friend of mine use the Manic Panic before so I knew it was a cool and safe product to use on my hair and my head. I didn’t bleach my tips or any thing I just applied the color to the tips and flipped my head upside down and did the back of my hair too, so when I put my hair in a bun the bun is purple too. It did not have a smell and it had a nice consistency of a thick hand cream.
My mom found an old yellow towel to place on over my shoulders and gloves to apply the Lie Locks to my hair. I felt bad for her towel, but it turned out that after a few washes the color came right out and you could not even tell that she put big glops of dye on the yellow towel.
I let is sit and soak into my hair for about an hour, I sat in the nice Colorado sun and read a lot pages of in a book in hopes that the heat from the sun would make it darker. It took about an hour and a half to rinse my hair.
I don’t have curly hair, so I put my hair up half way in some rollers and let it dry. I know it looks kind of messy, but this day I felt super confident to walk around with sexy messy hair.My mom found an old yellow towel to place on over my shoulders and gloves to apply the Lie Locks to my hair. I felt bad for her towel, but it turned out that after a few washes the color came right out and you could not even tell that she put big glops of dye on the yellow towel.

This lasted about three weeks, and the end result my hair had this cool gray color and I rocked that too. Once it was completely washed out of my hair it was its same old color blonde, I had no trace of the dark, sexy color that once was and I would totally use this product again and again.

I wish I had naturally light blonde hair, this looks so amazing! I've had every color hair imaginable! But I'm crazy about the ombre look right now, but on red hair, I just don't see that working for me! I will live vicariously through you.
